To participate in this class you must have a minimum of RecGym Level 4

Gymstart is a competitive programme designed for girls and boys who train at a recreational level. The focus remains on participation and personal achievement, children progress at their own pace in a fun, encouraging and supportive environment.

Gymstart is a 2 hour class and prepares gymnast for competition on 2 apparatus; floor and Vault. It is also a precursor for selection to our competitive squads. 

The gymnasts will have the option to participate in our own in house competitions to help build their confidence and improve their performance skills.

There is a national event in the year organised by Gymnastics Ireland which our Gymstart kids work towards and have the opportunity to attend when ready. This event is based on the Gymstart Levels 1-9. This event is specifically designed for recreational gymnasts and aims to provide an opportunity to experience competition within a fun and relaxed environment while celebrating personal achievement.
