Nadia Comăneci was the first gymnast ever to be awarded a perfect score of 10.0 in an Olympic gymnastic event.
The scoreboards were not even equipped to display scores of 10.0
Nadia’s perfect marks were recorded on the boards as 1.00 instead.
Nadia Comăneci was my inspiration. Her performance at the Montreal Olympic Games captured my heart.
I named my club after her in recognition of her great contribution to Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.
